I grew up in Lorane, Oregon, but grew up with stories about Langlois from my grandfather, who spent part of his childhood on Langlois Mountain. In 2020, I was fortunate enough to be able to move to downtown Langlois with my wife, Kate, and two sons, Jack and Augie, all fervent patrons of the library. I graduated with a B.A. in Religion from Reed College. For the last 25 years I’ve been an antiquarian bookseller and publisher, and an accredited member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America. I’m also an avid fly fisherman, and when not at home, you can usually see me on the Elk or Sixes. I believe that the library is an essential resource and meeting place for a small rural community like ours, and one of my favorite things about Langlois is its amazing library, staff, and the strong support the library has in the community. I look forward to doing my part to ensure that the library continues to thrive and will be here for our children and their children.
